Fadil will use GM's Chevrolet Spark platform.
This is understandable because VinFast had previously acquired GM in
Vietnam, including its dealership system and factory, to produce small
cars that had bought the rights from GM. As soon as VinFast acquired GM Vietnam, there was a significant change in its business strategy.

In particular, many of the cars have exhausted inventory and are at risk of stopping sales, including Chevrolet Spark and Aveo. GM seems to focus on some of the best-selling models of the Chevrolet Traiblazer and Colorado.
Although the possibility of stopping the sale of Chevrolet Spark is
very high, but the image revealed about VinFast Fadil is not really
similar to this model that the same pair of Vauxhall Viva and Opel Karl -
two brands of cars were GM sold to PSA last year.

There are many reasons that VinFast does not want Fadil to be the
shadow of the Chevrolet Spark, though if this makes the launch of the

Meanwhile, from the beginning VinFast has shaped the product with
European design style combined with "Vietnamese identity" (logo V), the
Fadil production on the Chevrolet Spark platform but own design Vauxhall
Viva and Opel Karl are easy to understand. Both of the top models produced on the Chevrolet Spark platform differ in design and equipment.

It is likely that Fadil will be manufactured by VinFast at GM Vietnam's factory in the near future.
Sharing the platform will help speed up production of Fadil and speed
up the cost of factory upgrades than using a completely new platform. VinFast is expected to sell Fadil mid-year after competing with Toyota Wigo, Hyundai i10, Kia Morning.
